Issue #001

Hello everyone! It's been a while since our last update.

Today, we're excited to unveil the brand new look of Great Stuff!

We're moving away from the "5 links per week" format. From now on, we're doing things differently.

First things first: check out the new look for GreatStuff.FYI

Links will be shared to the web directory directly, and some links will be selected and shared via this newsletter as well regularly.

With this new directory layout, I can share links anytime, anywhere—as long as I have my laptop and Framer hasn't banned me from sharing all this great stuff with you yet.

On our roadmap, we plan to:

  • Add new views for the directory

  • Implement in-web browsing

  • Enhance filtering capabilities

  • Accept link submissions

  • Welcome sponsor ads to keep the directory thriving

As always, we'd love to hear your feedback on how we can improve this directory.

Instead of a weekly issue, we're switching to a more flexible schedule. Great Stuff shouldn't be constrained by arbitrary timelines—at least until we find a comfortable rhythm for sending out emails. Bear with us as we figure this out!

Work

To kick things off, Nuevo.Tokyo™ has just released their latest branding work for Studio.Design, another artsy web builder. The branding video shared on X is mind-blowing 🤯 Check it out with the audio on!

Tool

Speaking of rebranding, let's talk about the web builder itself. Studio.Design appears to be another cool, artsy web builder that's popular in Japan. With their new branding, they're now going global.

While I'm still a Framer enthusiast, I'm definitely going to check this out soon!

Agency

Last but not least, let me highlight Nuevo.Tokyo once more—a Reductionist Design Studio based in Tokyo that creates awesome digital products!

I first encountered them through their conceptual project, VWFNDR™. I'm also a huge fan of their Japanese-style gradient, which I bought and now use as my devices' wallpaper.

More Great Stuff:

📱 Empty - A delightfully focused companion for your intermittent fasting practice

🔌 pdf.to.design - Figma plugin that allows you to import PDFs into Figma as either editable layers or images

📰 Copying, is the way design works - a short book, well a long read into design equals copying

Links you see in this newsletter will all be in the web directory, and more will be updated there as well, so do check out greatstuff.fyi, and set it as your home page to get daily/bi-daily updates of great links ;)

That’s a wrap for this issue, if you like this, please help spread to fellow designers, builders or founders ~

Peace ✌️
